An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Candidates must be able to work on their own initiative, display a strong work ethic, respect the ethos of the school, be flexible and demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training. Successful candidate will be expected to respect confidentiality at all times. Practical experience of working in ASD classes is necessary.

This is 0.83 of a post. Compliance with relevant Garda vetting requirements is essential. Applicants should have qualifications as per Department of Education and Skills circular 0051/2019. Applicants who are deemed to be members of the supplementary panel must furnish a certified copy of completed Panel Form 1 (PF1) with their application.
